NIGERIAN ARTISTS AND POLITICS: CAN THEY DO IT?

It is no news that most of our Celebrity Musicians and Actors, have delved and are planning on delving, into the Political terrain. With the likes of Honourable Tony Oneweek, Comedian Okey Bakassi, Onyeka Onwenu, Nkirru Slyvanus, Kanayo O Kanayo all involved in one way or the other, both presently and in the past in Elective and Selective political positions. It has been viewed as a retirement trend as most of the above celebrities
were almost past their prime when they got into politics.
What is news is that, with the recent inclusion of young Artists like Abolore Akande Popularly known as 9ice, wanting to go to the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Ogbomosho North/South Constituency, KSB Popularly known as Kenny St Brown, wanting to contest into the Lagos State House of Assembly represint Ikeja Constituency 1, and Kate Henshaw, representing Calabar South Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, going into the Political terrain when they could still be said to be at their prime.
Naijarazzians, do you think they can survive the heat and the hanky panky involved in Politics? Do your see them getting ready to dirty their hands and backstab people? and most importantly where do you think, they hope to get the massive Amount of Money needed to Fund their Campaigns and Elections? Though only time will tell if they can succeed, but we will like to get your take on this. Please lets think about this and share our thoughts.
