Notorious Businessman and "presumed con man", yes o presumed, no be we talk am o; Fred Ajidua has been discharged and acquitted after a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja this morning, wednesday October 15th 2014 discharged and acquitted him of a $1.69 Million fraud charge brought against him in 2003 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Ajudua was alleged to have duped two Holland based businessmen off $1.69m, which
he and his alleged partner Charles Orie claimed will help facilitate government contracts worth $18m.A little twist in the case made the case to be closed, as no foreign witness was willing to come forward tp testify against them. hmmm, it could be recalled from earlier unconfirmed news reportages, that the duped men wanted the case withdrawn as they had been promised better remunerations to keep their mouth shut. *no be we talk am o* winks. The case was closed today after the EFCC Counsel, Mrs E.A Sanusi appealed for the withdrawal of the case and following the appeal by the EFCC counsel, the presiding judge, Justice Kudirat Ajose ordered that Mr Ajudua be discharged of the charges. We just love our Country Naija, lol anything can happen, Enjoy your freedom Sir, but never too dance shoki o, as you still have another case pending!
The other case was a follow up to the first case where he was said to have defrauded former Chief of Army staff, Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi of $8.4m, when both of them were inmates in Kirikiri. The sum he promised he will use to help him secure his release lol. Prisoner dey collect money to help free another prisoner when he never free himself. This case is still before Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye.
