Former US Senator, 'Law & Order' actor Fred Thompson dies at 73

A Former U.S. Senator for Tennessee and actor, Fred Thompson has died at age, 73. The ex 'Law & Order' star died yesterday,November 1 in Nasville after a recurrence of lymphoma, according to a statement issued by his family.


In his 73 years of life, Fred made his mark both in the politics and acting world. Prior to beginning his acting career in the ’80s, he served on the Watergate committee investigating Richard Nixon in 1973 and earned his spot on the U.S. Senate in 1994. After choosing not to run again in 2002, he began his recurring role as D.A. Arthur Branch in the 'Law & Order' franchise and played several other roles up until his death. He was certainly loved by many.
