In a chat with Saturday Beats Jenny.O, the fair-skinned damsel said she has never pictured herself dating the Double Wahala singer. She said that they are better off as friends even though she is not in a relationship at the moment.
“Oritsefemi has been my friend for a very long while. I have known him even before he hit the limelight. I have known him even before his hit song, Double Wahala. I interviewed him and we became friends shortly after. We never dated, we are just friends. There are certain people you just don’t picture yourself dating and Oritsefemi is one of them for me. I cannot picture myself being in a relationship with him. I saw him more as a friend. We just clicked so much as friends.
The singer who has been away from the music scene told Saturday Beats that she went on a hiatus to sharpen her skills as a singer.
“My career as a singer and a television presenter kicked off about the same time in 2007. It was the same year that I released my first song. I took a break from the music scene to harness my skills as a broadcaster. I also needed to understand how the music industry worked. I returned after a couple of years with a song, shortly after I released another one that I did with Oritsefemi, Sho Mara. The feedback has been very encouraging. When I first told Oritsefemi that I wanted to sing, he laughed till he heard the song and he was very impressed. Nobody really took me seriously until I released a song. People have been telling me that the song is very addictive,” she said.
