David Beckham Honored with Humanitarian Award at UNICEF Ball

The 40-year-old received the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the sixth biennial UNICEF ball in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. “Extremely honoured to receive [UNICEF]'s Humanitarian Leadership Award this evening at the UNICEF Ball,” David wrote on Instagram.

 “I can’t wait to continue doing all I can for UNICEF and my 7 Fund, 7.org, to help children across the world.”

Other stars that were in attendance include Mariah Carey, Elton John and Selena Gomez. After he accepted the prestigious honor, the soccer star took time to gush about his wife, Victoria Beckham, and their children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, 4. "We're very present with our kids. We're very hands-on and we will continue to be. And our children are very honest with us,” David told People.
