HOTEL USERS BEWARE: AS HOTEL STAFFS NOW USE CCTV TO WATCH YOUR PERSONAL ACTS

 Hotel Users should be very careful, as recent events has shown that lots of hotel staffs in Nigeria (deranged ones) now get gratification and blackmail tools from recording personal activities of their patrons. The most recent was a case reported by NAN where in Lagos Three Hotel attendants of a hotel in Aguda namely Sunday Okon, 23; Rita Emmanuel, 28; and Goodness Akpan, 24, on the 13th of August had used the Hotel's CCTV Camera to record a customers private activities, and used the videos to blackmail the customer to pay a sum of N10 million. Lagos – Three hotel attendants, who allegedly recorded a customer’s private affair and demanded a ransom of N10 million, when the Man refused to pay the money the suspects  circulated the said video recorded on a VCD and circulated it to the man's neighbors, they have been currently apprehended and are facing court charges. so please when you go to hotels try to ensure that secret cameras are not placed in your rooms, this is against the laws if the land. In Hotels CCTVS are only meant for public places like the hallways, parking lot and general open areas, and not for private rooms!
