The World Bank has requested more opportunity to give a nitty gritty report on the plunder of previous military tyrant, Sani Abacha, saying the plunder is excessively tremendous for it, making it impossible to handle. The World Bank said this in light of a solicitation by common society bunch, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) requesting an exhaustive report specifying every one of the plunders of the previous military tyrant which is evaluated at $11.3 billion and stashed in outside banks.
“In response to your request, we would like to inform you that we are still considering your request and we will need additional time because the money involved is too huge for us to handle.” World bank says
The World Bank added that although it takes just 20 working days to respond to such requests, under special cases, it could take longer time.
At least, they should return the huge money looted even if it takes a longer process.
