Newcastle University Scholarships in UK, 2016-2017

Newcastle University’s main purpose is  to be the best world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.

The University is governed by a number of statutory bodies. The Executive Board is made up of  the senior management team that oversees  all the day-to-day running of the institution .

For you  to apply for this scholarship interested candidates must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Uganda,  Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania or Rwanda. Applicants must be good at English language in order to study at Newcastle University.

Interested Applicants will have  to provide a well recognized English language test or qualification. 

This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.

Course Level: These awards will be made  available for high aiming students  who wish to apply for entry into any postgraduate Master’s degree programmes at Newcastle University.

Study  OF Subject:  The Scholarships are offered over different departments across the University, all offering a diverse range of courses.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship comprises of  £3,500 which will be payable towards the first year of tuition fees.

Eligibility: These awards are available for high achieving students who wish to  apply for entry into any postgraduate Master’s degree programmes at Newcastle University. In order to apply for this scholarship you must satisfy all of the following conditions:

-Applicants must be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Ghana

-Applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship

-Applicants must have a second class upper degree or higher from a recognised Ghanaian University

-Applicants must have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes

-Applicants must intend to register to start your studies during the 2016-17 academic year

-Applicants must be a self-funded student and not be in receipt of any other centrally awarded Newcastle University scholarship

Nationality: Students of Ghana are mainly encouraged to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: In order to apply for this scholarship applicants must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer of a place on a postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University, Newcastle city campus at the time of applying for this scholarship.

Test Requirement: Not Known

Supporting Material: When applicants submit their application, applicants should make sure they include copies of certificates or transcripts  in order to confirm your degree or highest qualification. If any of their documents are in another language applicants  they you will need to supply certified English language translation. If applicants are from outside the EU, applicants will also need to include a copy of the personal details page from their passport.

Please note that NU Thailand Scholarship applications cannot be considered for candidates unless they have already applied for and been offered a place to study at the University.
