Shareholders drag Jay Jay Okocha to court over sports company

Former Super Eagles player , Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha is currently involve in a legal tussle with shareholders of his sport company, Jay-Jay Okocha Group West Africa Limited.

In a report, the brilliant skipper is not left alone as the defendant in the legal battle with the shareholders but  his wife, Nkechi Okocha is involve.The shareholders, who are said to be unhappy with the way the sportsman runs the limited liability company, have mounted a fresh legal effort to enforce the judgment of a Federal High Court in Lagos issued two years ago against former international football star and his wife.


Major high shareholders that include, Friday Nwankwo-Kuja, Ijeoma Kuja, James Nwankwo Kuja, Chinedu Nwankwo-Kuja, Daniel Chukwudi and Mary Chioma Nwankwo-Kuja are laying accusing fingers on Okocha and his wife, who are chairman and managing director of the company respectively, of conducting the affairs of the company in an illegal and oppressive manner.

The lawsuit also accused the Okochas of fraudulently forging a resolution of the board in order to change the directors of the company and to unlawfully, forcibly take took over the affairs of the company.
Until now, there has been no word from the Okocha and his wife on the allegations and legal battle.
